Mission Statement
 
Support the national Strategy for Homeland Security and other state and local counter-terrorism efforts by effectively addressing private sector safety, incident management, and public health consequences of potential terrorist attacks on the Critical Infrastructure and Key Assets within Orange County, through physical resource and information sharing in the Operational Area.

  • Established by the OC Emergency Management Council as a sub-committee of the Orange County Intelligence Assessment Center (OCIAC).
  • Coordinates key private sector personnel with public sector first responders in protecting critical infrastructure, high profile targets, and key county assets.
  • Partners with private sector business and industry to implement interdiction policies and target hardening strategies, striving to ensure a unified, consistent, and coordinated response to terrorism.
  • Supports implementation of private sector Emergency Response Plans to mitigate the severity and degree of potential loss to the community, commerce, and industry.
  • Provides networking forum, information sharing,  training opportunities and dissemination of Threat Advisories and Information Bulletins.
  • Private sector membership provides the Sheriff’s Department and Operational Area with virtual reach-back capability.
The PSTRG has a current membership is comprised of security directors, health & safety officers, business continuity specialists, and emergency response planners.

The PSTRG meets every other month throughout the year to exchange information, participate in training opportunities and remain informed on Homeland Security issues relevant to Orange County.

The PSTRG membership receives Advisories and Bulletins directly from the Orange County Intelligence Assessment Center (OCIAC), notifying membership of news or events potentially impacting the community.

The PSTRG is an active partner in Orange County’s First Responder Community, along with Law, Fire, & Health Agencies.
